SunGard – LTC

SunGard, a global leader in integrated software and process solutions operating 14 Datacentres across Europe and over 70 worldwide appointed ICW Powermode to provide a high integrity power solution to secure 20MVA of power to their new state of the art availability centre (L.T.C).

The project was undertaken and completed in two stages.

Phase 1: Design, Manufacture, Supply and Install 2.5MVA Package Sub-Station, U.P.S Input/Output Switchboards and P.D.U’s to secure supplies to the Administration Centre.

Phase 2: Design, Co-ordinate, Manufacture, Supply and Install two bespoke ‘Powerpod’ energy centres housing 2 No 10MVA Utility supplies and a 10MVA comprising of 4 No 2.5MVA Standby Generator Sets. All necessary SCADA functionality to ensure 100% availability during any utility failures.

SunGard specified ICW Powermode due to their past experience and reputation with the delivery of Power Solutions and the one stop shop approach. This together with the companies fast track quality manufacturing and design capability, project management and unrivalled pro-active approach ensured a successful completion within the timescales of the contractual agreement.

The full turnkey Package included:

• Powerpod Centre housing 2 x 10MVA 11kV Switchboards, 1 x 11KV Generator Synchronisation Switchboard.
• SCADA dual PLC and HMI touchscreen.
• Powerpod Centre housing 4 x 2.5MVA 11kV Standby Generator Sets, attenuation and set controllers.
• 2 No 72 hour bulk storage fuel tanks/bunds/pumps fuel lines.
• 9 No 2.5MVA Package Sub-Stations.
• 8 No 4000A UPS Input/Output LV Switchboards.
• 50 No Static Switch Power Distribution Units.
• Interconnecting Distribution Busbar.
• 40 No Mechanical C/O Switchboards.
